Installing Hubble programs and updates using the Update Wizard

With the Update Wizard you can download and install programs and updates of the software.
You can open the Update Wizard via the Control Panel. The gears in the Shell represent the Control Panel; click on that image to open the Control Panel.
If the Shell isn't open, double-click on the desktop icon, on the shortcut in the Hubble group in the Start menu or on the quick launch icon in the Windows taskbar, to open the Shell. (It depends on the installation which of these possibilities are available for you).



Click on the button at the top to ‘Update Hubble programs and databases’.



If you've just completed the Shell setup, you don't need the Advanced button. Advanced settings are the preferred language and the location where downloaded files are stored. Click on the button Next.



The Update Wizard checks online if you have the newest setup files for the Hubble programs.
You can’t go on with the installation of other Hubble applications if you don't have the newest Shell. Click on the button ‘Install now!’. At the end of the installation process the Update Wizard and Control Panel are closed (to be replaced by the newer version) and then the Control Panel is opened again. Click on the button ‘Update Hubble programs and databases’ to proceed with the installation or updating of the other Hubble programs.
If you do have the newest version of the Shell, you can click on the button Next.



Click on the applications that you want to download and/or install.
Up to now, only the Supportive Browser and the Button Layout Designer are available.
When an application is marked already for download and installation, the Update Wizard has found newer setup files on the internet.
At the top right, under Installed you can see which version of the program is installed on your computer and in which language.
Under Available you can see the version and the size of the setup file that is available on the Internet. You can change the language; click on the small arrow to see the list of available languages.
If a setup file was found on your computer, and if that file isn't older than the one on the internet, you don't have to download the setup file; uncheck the option Download. You can install it using the setup file on your computer; check the option Install.
Click on the button Next.



Available extensions are the Symbol for Windows FlexLex module and symbol databases. You need a license to be able to use them, e.g. in the Selection Set in the Hubble Browser.
Select the extensions that you want and click on the button Next.



Take a look at the overview of what will be installed. Also check if you have enough space on the hard disk - you can see at the bottom of the window how much space is needed in total. If everything looks allright, click on the button Next.




During the installation of each component a status bar shows the progress of the installation.



Click on the button Finish to close the setup screen and to return to the Control Panel.
